A new Spa and Tea House is coming to town and everyone should be very excited because the owner of the exquisite bed and breakfasts, Alexander Inn, Hacienda Nicholas and the Madeleine Carolyn Lee is preparing this Santa Fe spectacular for all of us to enjoy.
Absolute Nirvana is scheduled to open in June 2005. In this 1886 Queen Ann Victorian.
You can enjoy a cup of fragrant tea, a delicious scone, or teacakes in front of the fire or in the gardens. Only organic ingredients are a part of the sumptuous menu served in this Victorian/Asian setting.
In the tea Room you can choose from a selection of fifty carefully chosen, high-quality loose teas, including black, green, white, herbal, yerba mate and puerh, along with our special brew of chai.
For a mesmerizing tea-drinking experience, try one of our flowering teas. The finest organically grown tea leaves are hand-sewn into rosettes or bundles which slowly unfurl as they steep to create a beautiful bouquet.
The dining option has a food menu that changes daily .They only use only organic and natural ingredients in the baking and cooking, to offer you the freshest and most flavorful cuisine.
The menu changes daily to include a soup, salad and two entrées, always with a vegetarian alternative. We also have an ever-changing selection of teacakes, which always includes a lemon teacake, chocolate delectable, heavenly scones, and cookies. The Tea Room hours are Daily 10am-6pm. A Sunday Brunch Buffet is served from 11am-3pm.

The Nirvana Spa is dedicated to providing a feast for all the senses. The spa incorporates Asian spa philosophy in all their treatments. Known in Indonesian as "Jamu", this refers to the use of traditional remedies based on plants, herbs, and spices, for health and beauty care.
Deluxe Treatments
Javanese Lulur (Mandi Lulur)
This treatment, enjoyed by Javanese royalty since the 17th century, is a truly delicious experience, which will leave the skin soft, supple and shining. Begin with a ritual foot scrub while sipping Jamu tonic, followed by a jasmine oil massage. Then the entire body is painted with the traditional Javanese "lulur’, a granular paste containing tumeric, sandalwood, cinnamon and rice powder. The paste is then rubbed to gently exfoliate the skin, after which you are slathered with yogurt and seated in the steam shower, allowing the yogurt to permeate the skin. The yogurt’s enzymes stimulate cell activity, restore the skin’s PH balance, and result in a silky smoothness of the skin. After rinsing off, you are invited to soak in a fragrant, warm, rose-petal bath, sipping hot Javanese Ginger Tea.
Ocean and Flowers
This is a truly relaxing experience, as well as being extremely beneficial as an anti-cellulite treatment. Begin with a relaxing foot bath, while sipping a healthful Jamu tonic. This is followed by a massage using long, undulating strokes, similar to the rhythm of ocean waves. The body is then wiped with finely ground sea salt and volcanic clay. The mineral-rich clay seeps into the skin to break down fat cells, and the exfoliation process leaves the skin silky smooth. Following this is a detoxifying seaweed body mask which is allowed to permeate the skin while in the steam shower. After rinsing off, you are invited to luxuriate in a rose petal filled bath while sipping hot Javanese Ginger Tea.
Brown Sugar & Papaya Extravaganza
This delightfully sensual experience begins with a ritual foot scrub while sipping healthful Jamu tonic. After a heavenly one hour massage, the body is scrubbed with a brown sugar/mango/ginger paste for a mouth-watering body polish. Next your body is smeared with pureed papaya, whose enzymes will soften and revitalize the skin as you relax in the steam shower. After a good rinse, you will finish with a soak in a rose-petal bath while sipping Javanese ginger tea.
