Santa Fe although a small town of 70,000 plus it has a tremendous amount of art and culture and that includes the performing arts.
This year is no exception and in this article I will make you aware of all the venues and gives samples of their performances for the year.
Santa Fe Opera
This world renowned open air theater is always a visual and musical treat together. The season begins in early July and ends in the end of August. It is one of the most beautiful times of the year in Santa Fe where the burnt oranges and reds of the mountains and soil blend in with the fiery colors of the sunset each evening. The temperature is very comfortable. A sweater is not needed. This year the season includes Verdi’s Simon Boccanegra, Handel’s Agrippina, and Bellini’s La Sonnambula. These are occurring in Santa Fe for the first time. Two favorite’s Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Berlioz’s Beatrice and Benedict return. For more info check out their site:
